Wildlife Encounters

Deepti Rawat (INDIA)

June 2004 : Ranthambhore National Park

A few of us working together decided to go to Ranthambhore National Park since we had a long weekend coming up. It was mid June and extremely hot. We were told that there are no tourists and sightings are also infrequent.

March 2004 : Bandhavgarh National Park

My friends convinced me to take some time off from work and go with them to one of the Wild life sanctuaries around Delhi. Coming from UK, where the only wildlife I had seen was in Zoo, I could not resist the offer.

Deepak Gurnani (INDIA)

January 2004 : Corbett National Park

Working in Delhi and fed up of weird working hours and the usual party scenes, I was looking for different ways to spend a well-earned weekend. I had heard that the advantage of Delhi was its proximity to a lot of wild life reserves. Sounded like a great idea and I managed to convince a friend who is a regular visitor to such places, to let me tag along on one of her visits.
