FINAL CLIMATE : India is as large as a continent with a varying climate. You can always find a suitable place with your choice of climate. India has tropical weather. One cannot speak of the climate of India, or else one must speak of several different Indias. The subcontinent has eight climatic zones, all of which only have the monsoon rains in common. But even the monsoon comes to different parts of the country at different times. India has three major seasons - winter, summer and the monsoon. Winter months (November - March) are bright and pleasant, with snowfall in the northern hills. Summer time (April - June) is hot in most parts of India, and it is then that the numerous hill resorts provide cool retreat. During the monsoon, rainfall is heavy along the west coast between June and September, and along the east coast between mid-October and December.
You will hear varying ideas about the timing of your trip, but keep in mind that people travel year round to all the destinations through this website. Each season has its advantages, so if you have set dates for travel, chances are you will be able to have a great trip no matter where you are going. It is important to understand the seasonal trends and how that will affect your trip; but remember that weather is variable and so it is quite possible to go for days without rain during the peak of the rainy season, or have thundershowers in the middle of the dry season. Normally travellors talk about travelling in India during winter season, But for wildlife tours Summer has its own plus points, i.e., it really increases your chances to see wildlife because Indian Jungles become dry & flat, which provides more penetration of sight in Jungle. But at the same time it can be extreamly hot with sun burning bright over you. The most Important point that has to be considered for coming to India for Wildlife tours is that During Monsoon that is from 1st July till 31st September all the mojor parks of India are closed. Therefore, please don't plan your wildlife tour during above given period. ACTIVITIES : In India there are mainly 2 options of exploring the Jungle - By Vehicle or By Elephants. Some parks also offer the option of Boat rides. But these options vary from Park to Park.
There are couple of National parks in India which allow to stay in Jungle. However, mostly tourists have to stay in Hotels & lodges outside the area of the park. On request, we can add extra activities in your trip in form of Jungle walks, Local Village Visit, Expert Presentation on wildlife, Visit to Local Markets Etc. These all activities can vary from Park to park & availablity. |
